    I tried using this extension to extract text from the following image: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=122183170058890233 Unfortunately, it mangled the text in a couple of difficult spots. So I've decided to uninstall this one, and go with another extension called Extract Text From Picture, which managed to extract the text flawlessly.

    Have tried perhaps a dozen different converters, and this one is the best yet (bar one which I used for years and no longer works). This is easy to use and ideal for small fast jobs.

    It's the opposite actually — extracts text from images, not the other way around 🙂

    I’m truly sorry that the extension didn’t meet your expectations before. I’ve just released an update — it now supports direct screenshots and image pasting from the clipboard, so there’s no need to download the image first. If you’d be so kind, I would greatly appreciate it if you could give the extension one more chance and try the latest version. Your feedback means a lot.

    This is actually free and gets the job done! It might take forever when screenshotting text to extract it from PDFs, but honestly, I am happy that this is free! Thank you so much!
