    Hey Eugene. This is actually a limit of Google Sheets/Docs itself, where the minimum zoom percentage allowed is 50%. So, this plugin limits the lower bound to adhere to this, which is why it will never go below 50%. You can confirm this by trying to enter 45% (or anything lower than 50%) into Google Sheets' own zoom box. Once you do, you'll see it change to 50%. If you confirm this is the case, I'd appreciate a review of your rating!
