Hello, the issue should be resolved in 2.3.0. Feel free to update your review if the problem was resolved, or provide more details if it still does not work as expected

It's a nice extension but it will be removed soon. The original developer no longer maintains it, so i have upgraded it based on this extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/mute-tab/djnlklfindboblpikpeaedoamfhgklfd

So far so great... it sometimes unmutes without reason.. I believe when I close all muted tabs

Yeah, this is not possible. This extension has zero external dependencies, no tracking, no analytics, not even a single API call that could've been hijacked and I didn't update it since 2021 so if there was any malware hidden in it, Google would remove it long time ago (or you'd see a lot more people mentioning something fishy is going on). I built this extension for myself and only uploaded to the store so I can easily install it again on new machines so I really don't care if you use it or not but please don't spread misinformation.
