    Thank you for the feedback. In my tests on Chrome in Dark Mode, neither the browser nor the extension modifies the favicon colors: the provided icon is used exactly as-is. For this reason, I wasn’t able to reproduce the behavior you described. I’d suggest trying other light-colored icons (different from Chrome’s New Tab icon) to see if the issue still occurs. For example, you can test with this white icon on a transparent background: https://www.pngall.com/wp-content/uploads/14/White-Heart-PNG-File.png This should help determine whether the behavior depends on the specific image being used, system settings, or other factors external to the extension.

    suggested improvements: support for sleeping tabs, including for extensions such as autotabdiscard. remembering discreeterised tabs across sessions and domains, possibly by saving to the currently signed in google account. complete blocking of favicon.ico from ever being cached on a tab that has been discreeterised across that particular tab's entire session, with optionally defaulting to being discreeterised on new tab. removal of default favicon.ico so it only shows title or _ text on each ...
