    Thank you, appreciate the feedback! Your feature requests have been added to the GitHub issues tracker. Agree that YouTube pre-generated captions are a bit better than Whisper Tiny/Base/Small. The models are really more comparable to the quality coming out of the Chrome or Windows live caption features. Updates are coming! The first updates are here already, just haven't hit the Chrome web store yet: https://github.com/ae9is/subtitle-anything/releases

    A really good concept, unfortunately it is lagging behind the actual audio rather than captioning at the same time. I was using it for a school video that didn't have captions, there were inaccuracies too.

    I see potential in this extention! It might not be working in a very fast pace, however it does what it's intended to; talilored for what I need (understanding different languages audios) even if the ytb CC are not available.

    The open models which power Subtitle Anything are useful to "get the gist of that foreign language dialogue". This is the current state of quick, on device, realtime translation with Whisper. Review bombing this free accessibility tool best used with live content just lowers the chance of future free updates, and reduces the tool's visibility for users who may find it useful. Please feel free to show yourself the door. Cheers.
